Rogers Drums was acquired by Yamaha in 2006. Yamaha still produces sets that are similar to the original Rogers lines created over fifty years ago, but with their own touches added. Yamaha has integrated it’s acquisition of the company rights into it’s junior and beginner level kits. They offer two sets of drums, the Trailblazer and the Prospector. If you are looking for original drums, the best place to look is ebay or craigslist. The new line of drums available from Yamaha are explained below.

The Trailblazer

Features Birch/Poplar shells, ball-joint tom and snare mounts. Equipped with a double bass pedal, double-braced two-legged high-hat stand and steel snare. Boom stands, Straight stands, boom arms and cymbals come with the 2122P5 level Trailblazer.

The Prospector

Poplar shells and double-braced hardware. Equipped with a single bass pedal, infinite adjust snare stand, high-hat, straight, and boom stands, and a drum throne. The 622P Series come with all the cymbals you need to get started.
