Remo Bodhran

The Remo Bodhran is just one example of the great hand drums that the company produces. The Bodhran is an Irish frame drum that is most often played sitting down. Below you will see a couple different models that Remo makes.

The basic bodhran models feature Fiberskyn Remo Heads and include two cross-bracing dowels inside the frame.

The Brian Howard series features a single dowel brace and features a specially designed tuning system that lets you control the warmth and tone.

The Glen Velez model features the same internal tuning mechanism as the Howard model, but dual dowel cross bracing may make it more durable. You can also order a pre-tuned bodhran with a medium high pitch.

The newer deep shell series from Remo features a larger Acousticon shell than the others and includes a Bahia Bass drum head. It also includes a tuning key and tipper drum stick. Learn How to Tune Drums.
