Tama Starclassic
The Tama Starclassic drum set comes from the high end line of drums from Tama. There are three basic types of Starclassic sets you can choose from. I’ll try to give a short overview of each Starclassic set below and show you a few different individual pieces you can purchase. When you’re done, you can shop here for the

The Bubinga model comes in three different styles itself. There is the standard Tama Bubinga, and then the Tama Omni-Tune and Tama Elite models. The standard Bubinga provides a more aggressive attack, a fuller deep and dark tone, and more powerful resonance than the Maple line, thanks to the thicker drum shells. The Elite Starclassic models offer hand crafted finishes, including beautifully grained quilted bubinga. The Omni-Tune series offers uniquely designed lugs that allow you to tune both batter and resonant heads from the top.
The maple series offers a thinner shell, 6 plys vs. 9, which creates a clear, warm sound, but the thinness also reduces the strength. However, with the Tama cross lamination technique, the shells are actually quite strong, even compared to thicker shells that do not use this technique.
The Performer series combines bubinga and birch wood to create a new, deeper tone.
